Businesses playing their part

Backing the Vision

Business and organisations across Greater Lincolnshire have voiced their support for devolution as a driver for positive change and growth.

Professor Neal Juster, Chair of the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership

“Devolution will bring many opportunities for our area, not least through this additional pot of money which we can use to support economic regeneration across Greater Lincolnshire.

“Many of our priority sectors and game-changing projects rely on significant investments and the right skills if they are to be fully realised – from investment in new technologies for agrifood, or creating the environment for our innovative defence and security cluster to thrive, to driving investment in extra capacity for our world-leading green energy industries on the Humber.

“This will give us the freedom to allocate these funds where we believe they will be most effective – and that can only be good for the economic future of Greater Lincolnshire.”

“The Greater Lincolnshire Devolution Deal has a strong focus on creating new jobs, building the right skills, and developing new, high-quality homes.   As an established, respected housing organisation, Amplius Living (formerly Longhurst Group) fully recognise the benefits and impact this would bring to our sector and the region; addressing wider infrastructure issues impacting on delivery, supporting innovation in sustainability and strengthen our role in addressing numerous environmental challenges through collaboration.”

Simon Dwyer

Simon Dwyer of Seafox Management Consultants Limited is at the forefront of driving the seafood sector both in Grimsby and across the wider region. He has spearheaded work with industry experts and education professionals to drive innovation and change.

Simon said: “Greater Lincolnshire has the potential to redefine the global food industry. By aligning our efforts with cutting-edge technologies and a commitment to innovation and sustainability as well as diet and health, we aim to position the region as a hub for scientific excellence, contributing to the UK's emergence as a science superpower.”

“We recognise the positive impact that the creation of the Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority is likely to bring. From granting the region a stronger voice nationally and globally, enabling the mayoral role to advocate for the interests of businesses and residents, and to secure the necessary resources to deliver. We see devolution as providing a positive roadmap to delivering a prosperous, sustainable, and thriving future for the region.”

Mark Webb, Managing Director, E-Factor

“Whether it’s the £24m investment fund, or the fact that decisions that are now taken in Whitehall will be taken here in Lincolnshire, I believe we need something new and a new way of governing to give us the chance to maximise our potential and be more successful.”
