Chief executive - Lee Sirdifield
Lee Sirdifield is the first permanent Chief Executive of the Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority (GLCCA). His appointment was confirmed at an Extraordinary Meeting of the Authority on 30 January 2026, following a formal interview process and the recommendation of the Appointments Panel. In this role, he also serves as Head of Paid Service and Returning Officer, leading the GLCCA’s work across economic growth, transport, infrastructure, skills and business support.
Before his permanent appointment, Lee served as the GLCCA’s Interim Chief Operating Officer and Head of Paid Service from February 2025. During this time, he played a central role in establishing the new authority, shaping its early structure and guiding its development. He also led the Greater Lincolnshire devolution programme, working with the three constituent authorities to negotiate and secure the deal that created the GLCCA.
Lee has more than 20 years’ experience in local government. He began his career at North Lincolnshire Council before taking on roles at Leicester City Council and the City of Lincoln Council. He later spent eleven years with South Kesteven District Council, holding several senior positions including Strategic Director for Transformation and Change and Assistant Chief Executive.
In 2020, Lee joined Lincolnshire County Council as Assistant Director – Corporate. During his time there he completed an MBA at the University of Lincoln and achieved Chartered Manager status.
Lee continues to work closely with the Mayor, councils and regional partners to ensure Greater Lincolnshire benefits fully from devolution and supports long‑term growth and opportunity for communities across the area.
