Work of the Mayor

The Mayor provides a single voice for Greater Lincolnshire and has powers and responsibilities in relation to transport, economic development, skills training and housing.
Some of the work of the Mayor includes:
- meetings with government departments, national and international ambassadors and investors, lobbying for the funding the area needs
- bringing partner organisations together to solve some of the problems relating to the Mayor's areas of responsibility
- representing Greater Lincolnshire on the national and international stage
- visiting businesses, residents and local organisations to listen to their issues and help find solutions
- making key decisions with other GLCCA board members about how funding from the government is spent for the area
