Mayoral elections
Candidate information
A booklet with information about how to vote and the candidates standing for the post of Mayor is available. As is required by law, a copy of this will be sent to every eligible elector in the Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority area.
The candidate pages in this booklet have been prepared by the candidates. These may not be accessible to screen readers. If you require this booklet in other formats, please contact your local election office (local authority).
Why are you sending us this? / Why don’t we get a booklet for other elections?
This is a legal requirement for Combined County Authority elections. According to the Combined Authorities (Mayoral Election) Order 2017, the Combined County Authority Returning Officer for the election must produce a booklet with the election addresses of all candidates who have contributed to the cost of production and submitted a valid election address by the close of nominations (by 4pm on the nineteenth working day before the poll).
See the Combined Authorities (Mayoral Elections) Order 2017.
How many copies are being sent out?
One booklet is required to be sent out to every eligible elector in the Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority area. For this election, the number of eligible voters on 1 March 2025 was 826,650.
Why has every elector got a copy? / Why are we receiving more than one in our house?
It is a legal requirement for one booklet to be sent out to every eligible elector in the Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority area. See the Combined Authorities (Mayoral Elections) Order 2017
Why do postal voters get a copy first and those voting in person later?
This is to make sure that those voting by post have access to the booklet before they vote. With postal votes being sent out prior to polling day the booklets need sending to these electors first.
Why have I received a copy and my next-door neighbour/mum/friend etc hasn’t?
All registered electors should receive a booklet before the election. The deadline to register to vote for the upcoming election is midnight on 11th April 2025. It takes just five minutes to apply online at gov.uk/register-to-vote.
I haven’t had my copy delivered yet, where can I find the booklet?
You can view a copy of the booklet online above. You can also request a copy of the booklet by contacting your Local Authority.
Who pays for the booklet?
Candidates who appear in the booklet have contributed to the cost of printing and producing the booklet (£3,500 each). The contribution is the same for each candidate. Every candidate has had the same opportunity to pay to have an address in the booklet.
The remaining cost for the printing and posting of the booklet is paid for by the Combined County Authority.
See the Combined Authorities (Mayoral Elections) Order 2017
How much did it cost?
It is a legal requirement to print and deliver one copy of the booklet to every eligible voter. We are currently awaiting the final bill from the print company to be able to provide this information.
