The Mayor’s Grand Exhibit Competition

The Greater Lincolnshire Mayor, Dame Andrea Jenkyns, is excited to announce the flagship Great Exhibition of Lincolnshire. This prestigious event aims to provide a prominent platform for Lincolnshire to promote its businesses, investment, and trade opportunities, attract national attention, and draw international investors. The exhibition will be a grand showcase celebrating all that Lincolnshire has to offer. 

Applications are now open for a Grand Exhibit to serve as the centrepiece at the entrance of the Great Exhibition.

The exhibit should be of significant scale, visual impact, and dimensions to create interest in the Central Hall of the Epic Centre, Lincolnshire Showground.

It must reflect the aspirations of Greater Lincolnshire and align with one or more of the three core themes of the Great Exhibition: Innovation, Investment, and Trade. 

Applications need to be submitted by 11:59 on Friday 5th September 2025.   Successful applicants will be informed by Friday 12th September 2025.

Criteria for the Grand Exhibit 

  • The exhibit must reflect the aspirations of Greater Lincolnshire and have reference to one or more of the three core Great Exhibition Themes; * INNOVATE * INVEST * TRADE. 

  • The exhibit can be bespoke or existing and can be either a single item or an at scale 3-dimensional exhibition stand.    

  • The exhibit will be floor standing unless the applicant includes a plinth or pedestal as part of the exhibit/ application.  

  • Applicants must be located within or significantly service Greater Lincolnshire.   

  • Applicants are invited to submit proposals for a Grand Exhibit which aligns with exhibition themes and aims and showcases the best of Lincolnshire tech, innovation, design, manufacturing, or products. 

The core themes of the Great Exhibition is to raise the profile of exporting, highlight the investment pipeline and opportunity, and showcase the innovation expertise and ambition. 

  • INNOVATE - Showcasing innovations developed across Greater Lincolnshire with a focus on businesses and organisations developing world leading innovation.  

  • TRADE - Highlighting Greater Lincolnshire as a gateway for imports and exports and showcasing how we connect nationally and internationally. 

  • INVEST - Showcasing opportunities for inward investment across Greater Lincolnshire including the supporting ecosystems which make Greater Lincolnshire an attractive option. 

Applications must have a strong visual presence with the aim of creating a visually impactful Grand Exhibit. 

  • Maximum dimensions are: 5m length x 5m width x 3.9m high 

  • Installation is 21st October, exhibition 22nd October, deinstallation 23rd October 2025. 

Winner Benefits 

The overall winning applicant will receive a promotional branded package across the Great Exhibition with an award presentation at the event and the opportunity to meet the Mayor and other dignitaries.

  • Award and thanks presented live at the Great Exhibition by the Mayor 

  • Media, interview and wider promotional opportunities 

  • Invitation to VIP event hosted by the Mayor at the Great Exhibition

The organiser reserves the right to select a Grand Exhibit directly from industry should no suitable proposal be available and/ or place a winning exhibit elsewhere to align thematically or logistically and more than one submission may be selected. 

Information for Applicants 

  • The winning exhibit will be manufactured, transported and installed at the exhibitors’ cost. 

  • The organiser may not respond to unsuccessful applicants as interest and administration is expected to be high.  We would like to thank everyone who shows an interest in this event and encourage all applicants to register as delegates.  

  • The GLCCA reserves the right to select a central exhibit directly from industry should no suitable proposal be available and/or place a winning exhibit in a prestige position elsewhere to align thematically or logistically. 

  • The winning exhibit will be manufactured, transported, and installed at the exhibitors’ cost. 

  • The maximum dimensions for the exhibit are 5m in length, 5m in width, and 3.9m in height (max shutter access height) 

  • Power and Wi-Fi are available as required to power the exhibit.
