Strengthening international trade links with the United States
GLCCA explores new US trade links.
The Mayor of Greater Lincolnshire, Dame Andrea Jenkyns, and GLCCA Chief Executive Lee Sirdifield spent a productive afternoon at the US Embassy in London, meeting with Agricultural Counselor Anita Katial to explore new opportunities for collaboration and trade between the United States and Greater Lincolnshire.
The discussions focused on unlocking greater international recognition for the area’s agricultural strengths and identifying ways to support local businesses to access global markets. With a strong farming and food production heritage, Greater Lincolnshire is well placed to contribute to international supply chains and drive innovation in sustainable agriculture.
Working alongside partners including Dyson Farming and the University of Lincoln’s Riseholme Campus, the GLCCA is helping to showcase the county’s expertise on the world stage. This partnership work supports new investment opportunities, advances in agri‑tech, and long-term growth for the region’s rural economy.
This forms part of the Authority’s wider mission to deliver Bolder Ambitions, Better Connected, Brighter Futures for communities and businesses across Greater Lincolnshire.
