Mayor Dame Andrea Jenkyns led a Greater Lincolnshire delegation of innovative businesses and representatives from the University of Lincoln to Taiwan — strengthening international relationships and opening new opportunities for our region.

The visit included meetings with Government Ministers and Mayors, along with discussions with the Ministry of Agriculture and Trade, all focused on progressing work towards a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

We extend our sincere thanks to the Taipei Representative Office in the UK for their vital support in coordinating this mission.

Mayor Dame Andrea said:

“It was a profound honour to lead a delegation of our cutting-edge businesses and the University of Lincoln to Taiwan. Our mission was clear:

"To strengthen our global ties and work on securing a landmark Memorandum of Understanding/Trade Deal (MOU).

"Greater Lincolnshire is open for business, and the opportunities for cross-collaboration in agriculture and trade are immense.”

The GLCCA will continue building on this momentum, supporting the Mayor in advancing the MOU and unlocking new opportunities for our businesses, workforce and communities.
