Mayor Andrea Jenkyns takes residents’ transport priorities 'on board' roadshow
Mayor Dame Andrea Jenkyns met residents in Scunthorpe and Gainsborough on 23 June, hearing clear calls for better rail links, more evening and Sunday buses
Mayor Dame Andrea Jenkyns visited Scunthorpe United Football Club and Gainsborough on Tuesday 23 June as part of her Transport Roadshow, thanking everyone who took the time to speak with her despite the heat.
Residents raised clear priorities: improving rail frequency at Brigg, increasing Sunday and evening bus services, and creating a transport network that connects communities more reliably. The Mayor has noted these concerns and will be taking these views forward as part of her ongoing work.
Mayor Jenkyns will be back onboard the bus on Tuesday 30 June at Grimsby Town Hall from 10am - 11am and Mablethorpe Co‑op Car Park from 1pm - 2pm
